INFORMATION FOR VISITORS FROM EUROPE: DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION (art. 13 GDPR)

1. General information on visiting our website:

When you access our website, the following data (server logfiles) will be automatically compiled:

  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer's URL
  • hostname of the accessing computer
  • time of server query
  • IP address

The proecessing of this personal data is neither required by law nor by contract. In accordance with art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, this is done on the basis of our legitimate interests and for the following purposes:

  • ensuring trouble-free connection to the website
  • ensuring trouble-free use of the website
  • evaluating the security and stability of the system
  • further administrative purposes

We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of evaluation, which is generally the case when the respective session has ended. Recipients of the data may be technical service providers who act as outsourced processors for the operation and maintenance of our website.

2. Cookies:

Cookies are used on this website. These are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the internet. The information contained in cookies enables us to make navigation easier for you and to display our web pages correctly. Under no circumstances will the data collected by us be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.

3. Contact form:

The data you enter will be stored for the purpose of communicating with you. The submission of your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your enquiry if you provide us with your name, e-mail address and the reason for the enquiry. This serves to categorise your enquiry and subsequently answer it. The provision of any further data is optional. The processing of data entered in the contact form is performed on the basis of a legitimate interest (art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). In providing you with the contact form, our desire is to facilitate an uncomplicated means of maintaining a dialogue. The details you submit will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and for eventual follow-up questions. 

If you contact us in order to request an offer, the data entered in the contact form will be processed in order to take the necessary steps prior to entering into a contractual relationship (art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Recipients of the data may be technical service providers who act as outsourced processors for the operation and maintenance of our website. The data you transmit via the contact form will be deleted at the latest 6 months after the enquiry has been processed. If a contractual relationship is in fact established, we become subject to legal retention periods and will delete your data at the end of these periods. 

4. Use of Matomo:

This website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open source software application for the statistical analysis of visitor access. The provider of Matomo software is InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St., 6011 Wellington, New Zealand. Matomo cookies are set on the basis of art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As operators of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the anonymised analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise both our web offerings and advertising. 

Matomo uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer and enable the analysis of how you use the website. The Matomo tracking tool can be used to evaluate the behaviour of visitors to the website and analyse their interests. For this purpose we create a pseudonymous user profile.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is stored on a server in Switzerland. The IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before the information is stored. You have the possibility to prevent the installation of cookies by changing the settings of your browser software. However, we would like to point out that by deactivating the cookies, you may not be able to utilise all the website's functionalities.

The recipients of the data may be technical service providers who act as outsourced processors for the operation and maintenance of our website. The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for our recording purposes. In our case, this takes place after a period of six months. The submission of your personal data is made voluntarily, solely on the basis of your consent. If you prevent access, this may result in functional restrictions on the website. 

5. Use of Google Maps:

On this website we make use of Google Maps. Google Maps is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”). This enables us to display interactive maps directly on the website so you can conveniently use the map functionality if you so desire.

Your prior consent constitutes the legal basis for this inclusion of Google Maps and the associated data transfer to Google (art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

When you visit the website, Google receives information that you have called up the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in at Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account.

If you do not want this data allocated to your Google profile, you must log out of Google before calling up the maps. Google stores your data as user profiles for the purpose of advertising, market research and/or the design of its website to meet users’ needs. Such evaluation is performed in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide demand-consistent advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, however you must contact Google to assert this right. We do not compile any personal data through the integration of Google Maps. If you do not want Google to collect, process or use data about you via our website, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings. In this case, however, you cannot use our website or only to a limited extent. The submission of your personal data is voluntary, solely on the basis of your consent. If you prevent access, this may result in functional restrictions on the website.
